What Happened To Wordle?
Do you still play Wordle? Are you still obsessed with Wordle?

Since it first launched in October 2021, Wordle has
drawn in millions of daily players who desperately try to guess one new
five-letter word each day – in no more than six attempts. I won’t deny that I
contribute (still playing) to that statistic.
Seven months in, a plethora of variations to Wordle
has since surfaced. The last I checked, there were 18 variations and each
variation more mind-boggling than the other. Here are the five most-played
variations.
1. Nerdle
Nerdle is the
mathematics enthusiast’s answer to Wordle – but instead of guessing a word, players
have to figure out a math equation.

There are eight “letters” to guess, with each “letter”
being one of “0123456789+-*/=”. The same way you cannot enter random letters to
guess in Wordle, your Nerdle guess must also be mathematically correct.
2. Sweardle
Sweardle, the sweary word
guessing game.

It is a ruder version of the original puzzle game,
with players attempting to guess the secret four letter swear word.
3. Worldle
For Worldle, you have to guess the country!

Users are given the silhouette of a country and they have
six guesses to try and figure out which country it is.
After each guess, players are then given hints – showing
them how many kilometres away your guess is from the correct answer, with an
arrow pointing to show what direction the country is from your guess, and a
percentage that shows its proximity.
4. Squirdle
Squirdle brings
to mind the familiar phrase: who’s that Pokemon?

You’ll need to figure out which Pokemon is the answer
of the day, and you have eight guesses to do so. Rather than giving hints based
on the letters, you’ll be given hints based on the generation of the Pokemon,
its height and weight, and what type it is (either single or dual type).
5. Heardle
Heardle involves people
listening to the intro of a song and trying to name it.

The music-based guessing
game invites players to guess the track from a pool of the most-streamed songs
in the last 10 years, using only brief snippets from the intro.
Have fun attempting these mind-boggling puzzles!
Though in my opinion, with the limited time we have every day, it’s best to
just play one or two games daily.
