5 Flowers To Show Your Mum You Love Her
Mother’s Day was last weekend – while we should be showing our appreciation for our mothers every day of the year, it doesn’t hurt to have an extra special day for the extra special woman in our lives.

You can opt for
one of the bouquets available from florists, or even try to DIY your own floral
bouquet for your mother. Either way, she’s sure to appreciate the gesture. If
you’re wondering what flowers you should include in the bouquet, here are 5
flowers that will tell your Mum that you love her.
1. Roses
Classic, timeless
and perfect as the centre piece of any bouquet.

Roses are certainly associated with love, and they come in
a variety of colours, each with their own meaning.
Pick red, pink and
yellow roses to add into your Mum’s bouquet. Red roses are associated with
love, pink roses suggest sweetness and elegance, while yellow roses signify joy
and friendship.
2. Tulips
A springtime flower, tulips are a lovely addition to a bouquet for your Mum.

They last pretty
long too, so your mother will have these fresh blooms for quite a while. Go for
pink, cream, white and yellow tulips – pink for good wishes, cream for eternal
bonds, white for grace and yellow for cheerfulness and hope.
3. Sunflowers

convey a sense of happiness, and they are very eye-catching in a simple

How could we miss
out on carnations? It has a long history of symbolising motherly love,
so make sure you have a spray of carnations in your bouquet.
Pink carnations
are associated with motherly love, while red carnations are for gratitude and
yellow carnations represent joy and friendship.
5. Hydrangeas
Fluffy, full
blooms are characteristic of these bold flowers. Hydrangeas come in bright
colours like pink, blue, purple and green – sure to liven up your Mum’s bouquet
and put a smile on her face.

Pink hydrangeas
represent gratitude, with blue for peace and understanding, and green for new beginnings.
It all depends on what you’d like to gift your Mum with.
Of course, these
are just the flowers that can make up the focal point of your bouquet. You’ll
still need smaller flowers and green fillers to complete the look.
